YouToggle

Better understand how you drive with YouToggle.

YouToggle is a totally independent driver score and is based on more than 4 billion miles of driving data. If you’ve ever had an argument over who’s the better driver now’s the time to settle the debate. Share your score with family and friends, see how they compare and discover who really is the best.

Should you have an accident YouToggle checks if anyone needs emergency assistance before the built-in Claim Assistant walks you through everything you need to do and collect to streamline the insurance claims process.

Your YouToggle driving score is determined by how your driving matches up to six key driving behaviours:
• Distracted driving – in particular the use of your mobile while driving
• High speed – exceeding the stated speed limits
• Harsh braking – not allowing enough time to slow down
• Aggressive acceleration – as opposed to gradually building speed
• Mileage – higher mileage increases the risk of an accident
• Time of day – when you drive can impact the risk of an accident
This provides a rounded picture of how you drive and is calculated as a score out of 100.

Your journeys are mapped along with information about how long you were driving for and how far. We’ll also provide tips to help you become a smarter, better driver – but only if you need them!

YouToggle automatically switches on when we think you’re driving, so there’s no need to remember to open the app yourself. If we pick up a journey and you weren’t driving, simply toggle from Driving to Not Driving.

As with any smartphone app, it will use your battery. Similar to telematics and ‘black box’ insurance technology, YouToggle will use your GPS location and other data from the device to detect journeys and to record them. The use of battery power varies by device age and type, so you may find it useful to use an in car charger on longer trips.
